IT’S MORE THAN A TREND
I often am asked, “Why Freck? Why a freckle cosmetic?” and it’s kind of hard to answer because “I just love freckles, I always have my entire life”.
Even when you look at the stories I wrote as a kid, I drew freckles on literally EVERYTHING.. look at this ridiculousness. Of course, I had no idea that there would even be a fake freckles trend one day, let alone that it would end up being my first business.
In 2011, my roommate Elinor & I were getting ready for a night out and talked about how we wished we could just draw the perfect freckles on our faces for the night because we thought they were so beautiful. After that conversation, I took that idea and ran with it. This fake freckles trend was gonna become more than a pipe dream if it was the last thing I did, I wanted frecks and I knew my friends did too.
The fake freckles trend is loved by so many makeup artists and beauty baes, now implemented into their every day and extravagant looks (and we’re drooling over them). But trust, honey, that when I started talking about the idea of a faux freckle product literally everyone tried to deter me from such a ridiculous idea.
We’re going to be releasing a whole podcast episode (!!) soon on the making of Freck and all the hurdles that had to be pushed through to make it to where we are now, but for the time being we wanted to just drop in and say: don’t forget that your wildest dreams can come true.
